Pasture Raised Chicken
"My family won't eat any other chicken. It's THAT good. I make it a point to stop at ZOE Farms every week BEFORE I go to the grocery store." Monica J
" I know that the food I feed my family from ZOE Farms has been raised with the utmost care - and that makes me so grateful." Kelli V
Pastured chicken at ZOE Farms is raised humanely without the use of toxic chemicals of any kind. Every stage of our poultry production system is focused on achieving the highest level of health for the chicken, thus the highest quality for our customers’ families. To do this, our birds are moved to fresh pasture forage every morning and fed a non-GMO ration sourced locally from an Amish grain mill.
With very few exceptions, store-bought chicken (even organic labeled) is raised in large, automated production systems known as CAFO's. The practices we use are very rare and if the same chicken was sold in stores, it would likely be at a significantly higher price.
As with every other animal on our farm, our chickens have only one bad day. All processing is done on the farm, in the open-air with strict attention to cleanliness and lack of stress on the chickens. This assures each finished chicken arrives to your freezer in the highest level of freshness and nutritional content.
The best value for our customers is to purchase whole chickens. We do, however offer premium cuts for some customers who desire this convenience. The additional time in processing and inventory management is reflected in the higher cost of these items.
We offer a full line of frozen chicken on a year-round basis at The Caboose. We also offer bulk discounted arrangements when picked up fresh on butcher days. We butcher 5 - 7 times June through October. Sign up for our email updates to receive periodic updates on when these special offers are available.
